GardevoirXGardevoir stamp by The-Clockwork-Crow GardevoirXGardevoir stamp by The-Clockwork-Crow
Sure GardevoirXGallade pairings are cute, but they're kind of 'expected' you know? What with Gallade being the masculine one and Gardevoir being so feminine...
But Gardevoir aren't even ALL female :C Don't the male Gardevoir get any love?
Heck, they did just fine in generation 3 before Galade came onto the scene.

I wonder what were people's opinions on Gardies as an overall species before Gen IV and Gallade came in. Must have been curled into a fetus position in a corner saying to themselves: "I am not gay, that was a trap" repeatedly.

This is a male gardevoirXfemale gardevoir stamp tho... not that malexmale isn't good too but the point is moreso I'd like to see more gardedoir paired with other gardevoir rather than gallade.

If you draw Gardevoir x Gardevoir, just be sure to draw eyelashes on the female.

I think people's preference for gardevoir/gallade as a pairing as opposed to gardevoir/gardevoir might not come from the whole masculinity factor so much as it does from people's tendency to find different-species pairings more interesting in general. Look at the eevees, for example. How many people seem to like the espeon/umbreon pairing over, say, espeon/espeon? And I can even say I've seen more fMachoke/mLopunny than I have machoke/machoke.

Sure, two characters of the same species can be developed amazingly well and become completely different characters, but I guess a lot of people don't have the creativity to do it or don't realize they do.

There's also the "one-of-each-species" syndrome, where people tend to want to see each species as a single character rather than... well, what it is, a species. I was guilty of this myself before I really got into roleplaying. So I suppose that could account for people's tendency to shy away from same-species pairings as well.

I FREAKING LOVE MALE GARDEVOIR. To me Gallade will always be a well-behaved, devoted, obedient, a little moe valet-type Pokemon, while a male Gardevoir I see as a cool, aloof, dominating and charismatic sage-type.

...Heck, even though I normally don't do yaoi/BL, I ASSERT that if there was a Male Gardevoir x Gallade couple, the Gardevoir WILL BE THE SEME. >:3

We needed Gallade to come on the scene. If it wasn't for him, we have a bunch of gender-confused Pokemon.

Considering Gallade has wider hips than Gardevoir, I think he might be a little MORE gender confused

Yeah, I mean I do kind of like Gallade by default because I love the entire Ralts line, but Gardevoirs-regardless of gender are my most faves
It's a shame merchandise like toys or even keychains for Gardevoir are literally nonexistant D:>

If both the male and female Gardevoir look like females no matter what sex you pair together Gardevoir x Gardevoir will always look like a yuri pairing unless you add masculine features to the male.

But what exactly makes it look female besides the skirt? Gardevoir don't have a bust, or even a curved waist under that skirt. All Gallade is is a Gardevoir without the skirt, fat legs and blades on its arms. And yet it has wider hips than Gardevoir ironically enough.
Masculine and feminine are also very subjective :l

The hair, it's elegant frame, the flowing gown but that's about it really. What's scary is considering it's a Pokemon that " skirt " all Gardevoirs have are most likely parts of their body. I can see why you dislike that pairing, Gallade's are ugly. Those aren't hips those a friggin tumors, by god they are so misshapen :icongonkplz: ! That is true, I apoligize for what I said.

Elegant doesn't always mean feminine though
It's just male Gardevoir tend to get the short-VERY short end of the stick, especially considering the gender ratio is half-meaning there are 50% male and 50% female in the wild.
It's frustrating to read comments like 'Gardevoir should be female only', when I adore my male gardevoir in my game, and any more I'll likely have in the future, I once went out and caught a TON of Ralts one night just because, and I only had one dawn stone-but not like I'd want to have more Gallade if I had more, they are indeed very awkward-looking. I don't even use my Gallade a whole lot-if at all. It's ALL about my butt-kicking male Gardevoir

Hnnnn YES It fills me with SO much rage 8l Or when people see some of my Gardevoir characters like Charon [link] they'll automatically assume it's female.
Charon is far from female or feminine. He's a skinny, terrifying shell of a Pokemon that died a violent, horrible death and haunts the Pokemon world because his tortured soul cannot rest
