Another sketch from my struggle to break through my latest art block.
The other night on a whim I decided to look up D&D Monsters. I think it was because I had seen an episode of Adventure Time that featured a few and I really wanted to know what they were. That was when I discovered the Displacer Beast. Because I love seeing humanoid representations of monsters, I had to try and give this deadly panther monster my own spin.

Nice sketch. I'd like to see you finish it. Is he supposed to have six limbs, or is that just where you were trying out how they should look?

Thanks, I probably will and make him a character-and yes he is supposed to have six limbs c: Displacer Beasts can also appear three feet away from where they actually are too, hence the name.
Gotta love mythology. Even if the Displacer Beast was completely made up for Dungeons & Dragons

It might be interesting for him if he were a teenage character placed in a contemporary setting; how would he hide the lower set of arms and hooves each day while having to go to school, etc. I look forward to seeing it finished :D!

Ahh but displacer beasts don't have hooves, they have paws/claws. They're panthers. Of some kind :P
But hiding them would still be an issue I suppose XD

Sorry, my mistake. But like you said concealing them in some situations could still be a problem lol. Even moreso if the paws on the arms don't look humanoid at all.
